D-Wade Curses Out Coach Spo

In case you guys happened to miss it, the Miami Heat got clapped last night out in Indianapolis. Dwyane Wade had the worst playoff game of his career and scored a whopping 5 points. LeBron did nothing special by any means and thus was unable to disappear during crunch time because this one was out of hand halfway through the fourth quarter.

 

During the 3rd quarter of last night's Game 3, a frustrated Dwyane Wade appears to get called out (for lack of better term) by coach Erik Spoelstra in the huddle. D-Wade responds by (what looks like) uttering a few vulgarities at his coach and walking back towards the court. As Wade leaves the huddle, it looks like Spoelstra says "watch your mouth," which really seemed to rile up D-Wade. The fact that veterans like Juwan Howard and Udonis Haslem had to help restrain him lets you know that he crossed the line. I hate to say it but D-Wade doesn't seem to be the D-Wade that he used to be.

D-Wade was a warrior, better yet a hero, during Miami's '05-'06 Championship run, but now I'm beginning to question whether my boy Dwyane has transformed into a prima donna. That whole thing with Wade coughing in front of the cameras and mocking Dirk really surprised me during last year's NBA Finals. I thought it was childish and uncharacteristic of D-Wade, but then again I saw him pouting on the sideline last night like my five-year old cousin.

On a brighter note: At least D-Wade has a championship ring (booya LeBron) and Gabrielle Union to run home to, but then again, half of Hollywood has probably been through there at some point (no offense D-Wade). 

P.S.  Towards the end of the video, you can see Danny Granger pulling on LeBron's jersey as he commits a clear-path foul. It will be interesting to see what else transpires between these two, especially since they have some bad blood that dates back to 2008. Even if I were LeBron, I probably wouldn't mess with Granger, considering he grew up in one of the roughest neighborhoods in New Orleans and was allegedly shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting when he was younger. 

**UPDATE**: The Heat took Game 4 in Indiana (Series now tied 2-2). LeBron put up 40 points and grabbed 18 rebounds while D-Wade chipped in with 30. They literally put the team on their backs, particularly in the third quarter. I expect Indiana to rebound from this one and they have already shown they can win in Miami, so we'll see what happens. 

P.S. Lance Stephenson is retarded! He has awoken the sleeping tiger (with that choking gesture) and he doesn't even play! He just sits on the bench. Also, O.J. Mayo lit up the younger Stephenson at ABCD camp back in '05 after the Brooklyn native called out Mayo in front of the entire camp.

                         

  

Eagles All-Pro RB Agrees to 5-year Extension

The Eagles have locked up another key contributor for the time being.

LeSean McCoy will be staying in Philadelphia after signing a 5-year, $45-million contract (roughly $20 million guaranteed) on Thursday. The Eagles have signed three Pro-Bowl caliber players to contract extensions this off-season (all of whom are clients of Drew Rosenahus). They also re-structured the contracts of Trent Cole and Todd Herremans, which ultimately resulted in extensions. The Eagles had no choice but to pay McCoy, considering he led the league with 17 rushing touchdowns (20 total) and was the NFL's fourth leading rusher (1,309 yards) in 2011, while only making $650,000 (which is lower than the current league minimum). You can't help but tip your hat to Philly, who are well-known throughout the league for taking care of their veterans. 

The Saints should probably take some notes from Philly and get their shit together (by making Drew Brees happy).

Raiders LB Rolando McClain Sentenced to 180 Days in Jail

 Earlier today, Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was sentenced to 180 days in prison. The 22-year-old, along with co-defendant Jerradius Willingham, assaulted 30-year-old Rishard Tapscott on Nov. 30 at an unidentified house, leaving Tapscott with a broken nose, mild concussion and broken ribs. The former Alabama standout allegedly pulled out a gun at one point and threatened to kill Tapscott. Later on, McClain reportedly fired off a shot while holding the gun extremely close to Tapscott's ear. There has been no ruling on whether Rolando will be able to serve his sentence after the upcoming NFL season. It is also unclear whether McClain will face displinary action from commissioner Goodell, but I'm pretty sure we know the answer to that one.

Chris Bosh Out With Abdominal Strain

 An MRI on Monday revealed that Chris Bosh had an abdominal strain, and he will miss the rest of the series against the Pacers. Is there anybody that doesn't have a smile on their face when they heard this news? I hate the Heat with a passion, along with the King of Flop LeBron James, I don't think i have rooted against a team more than the Heat. Nobody wants them to win just because of the way Bosh and LeBron were introduced to the Heat. Remember? Not 5, not 6, not 7, well as of now the Heat have 0 with the big 3, and I hope to the sports gods that it stays that way . Due to the fact that they have LeBron and Wade, I think the Heat will move past the Pacers, but if Bosh misses more time after this series, then the Heat will be in big trouble. If you root for the Heat to win it all, and you weren't a fan of the Heat before the big 3 then you are as big of an asshole as LeBron is. Go Pacers, Celtics, 76ers, Thunder, Lakers, Clippers, Spurs, anybody but the fucking Heat.
