NFL running backs Matt Forte and Ray Rice have signed long-term contracts with their respective franchises.
Forte's deal is worth $32M over four years (roughly $18M guaranteed), while the Ravens awarded Rice with a 5-year, $40 million contract. The deadline to get these deals done was today at 4 PM ET.
Some notable players who received the franchise tag but did not sign long-term deals: Wes Welker (Patriots), Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs), Cliff Avril (Lions) and Dashon Goldson (49ers).
